Got questions about our products, your order or our processes? Read all about it in our FAQ section
YOUR ORDER
Orders will be shipped using either DPD or FedEx. The shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on your shipping country and the number of items that you ordered.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a Track & Trace e-mail containing the information to track your order. With this Track & Trace information you can follow the status of your shipment.
Products or services ordered from our MOV Webshop may be subject to import duties and taxes. You, the customer, will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. We have no control over the lenght of time your order will be held at customs for clearance and suggest that you contact customs directly for more information.
For a list of shipping countries, rates and carriers, please visit our Shipping page.
When the ordered item is in stock, we always aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible.
The pre-order articles have an (expected) release date listed on the product page. We usually ship out these pre-order articles several days before the release date, to ensure that you will receive the record on - or as close as possible to - the release date.
If you place an order with both pre-order items and items the MOV Shop has in stock, your entire order will be shipped on the latest pre-order date of any of the pre-ordered items. If you do not wish to wait, please place separate orders.
If you have any questions about your order, please contact us at service@musiconvinyl.com. Please clearly mention your order number and we will do our best to assist you.
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us at service@musiconvinyl.com quoting your order number. Please note that once our Warehouse has started preparing your order for shipment, or when you have received a shipment confirmation e-mail, we cannot cancel your order.
For questions about returns please visit our Returns page.
When the product page specifies that the first ‘x’ amount of orders receive low numbers, the number on your article will not correspond to the consecution of orders placed.
For example: the first 100 orders will receive a low number, but that does not mean that the first order will receive item 0001, the second order will receive 0002, etc. In this case the first 100 orders will receive a low number, but these low numbered items are shipped out at random amongst those first 100.
By buying a product from our shop, you’re buying a great product which has been made
with care. But vinyl is a delicate product, and each pressing is unique!
This means that some products can differ from how they look on our website compared with the physical product. On our website, we create mock-ups with give the best possible representation of our product. However, due to the unique pressing process of some off these products, we can never guarantee that this looks exactly the same. This can mean that colours might differ slightly from the represented colour on our website. Please make sure to keep this in mind when shopping on our website.
To sum up, it can indeed differ slightly from the picture on our website, but it also means you have a true one of a kind, very rare copy!
PURCHASE
Our soundtracks are sold in the At The Movies Shop, but all our record can be found in many record stores and online stores. Get in touch with your favourite record store and ask them to order your LP. Find a selection of European stores in our store locator! Or try an online search.
We are a European label and for the majority of our releases, we only have the European rights, meaning that they’re produced for the European market only. Because of this, these releases are not available for purchase at our MOV shop.
Are you located outside of Europe? This is most likely the reason why the product is not available to you. We are sorry for any disappointment that may have caused!
If the record is essential for your collection (which we would understand), we'd advise to search for European shops or marketplaces, here are a few suggestions: Discogs.com,
Recordstore.co.uk, Bol.com, JPC.de, Amazon.com, Northendhaarlem.nl, Platomania.eu., Juno.co.uk, Fnac.fr
PRODUCT
We're always happy to receive requests! You can let us know by filling in the request form.
Yes, always. We obtain official licenses from a wide range of copyright holders, whether it be major record companies or independent artists who own their own rights.
No worries, it happens to the best of us! We would advise to search with the barcode/EAN, which is unique to each specific edition, and see if an online shop pops up. If not, you could check marketplaces such as Discogs or Ebay. Fingers crossed!
Our test pressings are solely for Music on Vinyl and the license holder(s). These are not up for sale. Our apologies for the disappointment!
Only a limited number of our releases were housed in the thicker PVC sleeves. If a release is in fact housed in one of these PVC sleeves, it is always mentioned in the bulletpoints on our website.
Unfortunately, we do not have replacement hype stickers, as these are made to measure. So we only have the amount that is actually pressed.
MANUFACTURING
All of our records are pressed at Record Industry in Haarlem, The Netherlands. Our mastering engineer has 40 years of experience cutting records for many major artists like Michael Jackson, Alan Parsons Project, Santana, Mother Love Bone, Stone Temple Pilots, Faith No More and many more.
We use the best audio available to cut our records. We receive and use different kinds of masters: analogue tapes, original metal parts, lacquers cut from analogue tapes and high-res digital files 192/96khz/24 bit of the original masters. Music On Vinyl does not use CDs as masters.
For every release, the final approval on the audio is always given by the license holder.
It is possible that the colour of the record you received is different than the one on our website. The image on our website is a mock-up and the colour is picked from the website of the pressing plant.
Standard colours: Light coloured vinyl can show spots or clouds, even if the press is cleaned prior to pressing.
Mixed colours: In the beginning of the run the record might turn out different than in the end of the run. There's not much we can do about it; the factory can't guarantee the outcome of the colours when we order a mixed colour. This can differ per mix, but also per batch of coloured vinyl.
To sum it up, it can indeed differ slightly from the picture on our website, but it also means you have a true one-of-a-kind, very rare copy!
We've drawn up a nifty article that covers all bases of our record production, including cutting the masters, galvanic processing, pressing the records, printing and folding the sleeves, packaging and quality control. Read the article here.
RETAIL
Fill in our contact form here and we'll forward you to the appropriate distributor for your territory.
We don't sell directly to shops and/or distributors. Our main distributor is Bertus Distribution in the Netherlands. If you’d like to purchase MOV stock, you're welcome to do so via Bertus
Distribution.
This map is meant to help customers find brick and mortar stores that offer (many of) our releases. Since the majority of our releases are only available to the European market, we only show European brick and mortar stores on our store locator.
Are you a European shop that offers our releases, but is not included in the store locator? Make sure to apply here!
